Counselor's Corner

Counseling Services

Our goal at St. Gregory the Great School is to provide a nurturing school environment in which all students can be successful. Our support team includes two full-time counselors who collaborate with students, teachers, parents, and administrators to assist with academic, social, and emotional needs.

The Counselors work with students individually, in small groups, and in the classroom to support their educational, social, and emotional growth. They assist in developing coping skills, conflict resolution skills, positive peer relations, study and organization skills, career readiness, and personal goals. They also facilitate communication and provide assistance during school, when needed. The goal of our counseling services is to guide the students into becoming faith-filled, productive, well-adjusted members of the community. A few of the highlights of our counseling program include:

  • Kindergarten Playdate
  • New Student Orientation
  • Unity Day
  • Career Day
  • Career Expo
  • Red Ribbon Week
  • Friendship Groups
  • Classroom Activities on Social-Emotional Well-Being
  • SAFE Environment Training
