Community, First - St. Greg’s Shows International and Local Support

St. Greg’s students recently showed support for three very distinct communities in need - the Jefferson Ave. community, a local Ukrainian Church, and a South Sudanese community. The importance of caring for others and helping those who are most in need has never been more top-of-mind and necessary at St. Greg’s.

"Do not forget to do good and to share what you have because God is pleased with these kinds of sacrifices." - Hebrews 13:16

Jefferson Ave. Community Food Drive

St. Greg's students and families donated non-perishables, paper supplies, baby formula and cleaning products for the Jefferson Ave. community. Our students and families' generosity is incredible and all donations will be delivered to the community in need at the end of May.

SGS Visits Local Ukranian Church

On Friday, May 20, students participated in a dress down day with a contribution of three dollars. The dollar amount of three represents the Trinity, and these funds will be donated to the people of Ukraine during this humanitarian crisis.

On Monday, May 23, seventh grade students visited St. Nicholas Ukrainian Church and were honored to a deliver a total dress down day contribution of nearly $1,500. Additionally, students learned the history of Catholicism in Ukraine, what makes the Ukrainian rite both unique and beautiful, and about the current tragic situation in Ukraine.

6th Grade Students Raise Money for
Clean Water in South Sudan

The sixth grade has a mission to raise money to build and maintain a well in South Sudan. Our goal is to raise at least $8,000 to help the people in South Sudan get clean and healthy water.

This mission is to help create a better life for the villagers in Sudan. An average of 842,000 villagers die each year from water that is infested with deadly bacteria. With the money raised, people's lives will be saved, children will be able to get an education, instead of walking miles for water and the villages will prosper with life.
