Due:
Dear all, when your parents come to school to pick up your remaining items please have them bring your 'Ecce Romani' textbook with them - there will be a box for them to drop it off
Due:
Dear all, your test next class will be a test on Chapter 6 only. Therefore, be sure you know:
-Your Vocab.
-The grammar we've learned so far (e.g. verb-endings; what does an -m on the end of a noun mean?)
-The notes on the Roman Slavery
If you have any questions, send me a private comment and I'll respond ASAP. Since Dr. Stevens had such a good birthday yesterday, and since today is the birthday of both Johnny Depp AND Davion Becker, I've decided to give you a hint at the BONUS Question which will appear on the test. It is:
What Doctor of the Church has a feast day today, June 9th?
Good luck, and happy studying!!!!!!!!

Due:
Forgetting to take Friday's 'catch-up day' into account, I did not realize that yesterday (Monday) was a 'B' day... I was SUPPOSED to see you today! Not wanting to mess things up further, you may use this as a free day... new material will be posted on Thursday. If you need any help or have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch... I'm happy to 'Google Meet' to answer any questions!
Due:
We made it to June!!!!!! This morning, Mrs. Stevens wants to know: what's the best type of pie (it was brought up over dinner last night)?
Due:
For the more than half of you who submitted exercise 6j I thank you... for those of you who haven't yet, please finish and submit it by 3pm today. IF you have any questions about the exercise or anything, please ask them in an email or private comment.

This morning I want to know what was the most fun thing you did this weekend. I got married!
Due:
Dear all, as we prepare for this home-stretch and the final major assessment I'll be giving you this year, I notice that while several of you are up-to-date with your coursework, more than a few of you are missing one or more assignments. Please use this opportunity to get current with Latin and your other courses, or, if you're all caught up, review your vocab. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to get in touch
Due:
Dear all, before the end of the year, I plan on giving a test on chapter 6 of 'Ecce Romani'. If you have any outstanding work, be sure to get that into me ASAP. If you're caught up then review the chapter-vocab. End the year strong!

Due:
To ensure everyone stays up-to-date on their Vocab. there will be a quiz on Wednesday. Happy studying!

One of the things I miss most about the shutdown (beyond all of you, of course) is the absence of barber shops. My hair is currently longer than it’s ever been before - and I’m getting married in a few weeks! This morning let me know what you’ve done hair-wise during lock-down; have you let it grow out, attempted to cut it yourself (or have someone do it for you), or gone the buzz route?
Due:
We’ve already looked at how nouns in Latin can be masculine or feminine depending on their endings. Adjectives, which are used to modify nouns, must agree with the gender of the noun they modify. Read about this on pp. 34-35 (or below), and if you understand what is being explained, then ‘mark as done’. If you have any questions, ask me them before noon and I’ll get back right away!
Due:
May the fourth be with you! This morning, in a private comment, let me know your favorite character from Star Wars
Due:
Next class, we'll be having a quiz on slavery in Ancient Rome. To help, I've complied a note-sheet going over what we learned last year and this year about slavery. ALL your quiz-questions will come from this note-sheet! If have any questions or comments, don't hesitate to get in touch
Due:
This whole time I've been asking the questions, now it's your turn to put me on the spot! In a private comment, ask me a question (before 3pm) and I'll answer it
***Please keep the questions appropriate for a Catholic Middle School! Remember, Mrs. Gajewski can see everything that goes up here***

Dear all,
As per Mrs. Gajewski’s email yesterday, we will in a short time begin Phase 2 of remote instruction. Before that however, I want to give those of you with outstanding work a chance to complete it and turn it in without penalty. Many of you have done all your work, but a fair number still have an assignment or two which may need to be turned in. If you’re caught up on your work, you may review your Vocab. – there will be an online Vocabulary Quiz on Monday, May 3rd. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with a private comment: I’m here to help!

There is no reason ANYONE should do poorly on this -- but make sure you submit the respective sections on time! You may review today and ask me questions if you have any, or, if you haven't completed any assignments, then you may use this time to catch up. Bonam fortunam!

Omnes, we have been asked to help set up for tomorrow's meat raffle, and so to thank you for your Christian service (and because I don't believe any of us have the gift of bi-location), your test is hereby POSTPONED until TUESDAY, February 4th. Bonam fortunam!
Due:
Omnes, the fifth grade religion retreat will be Monday, December 9th. I will be participating in that, but rather than assign you classwork for that day, to be overseen by a sub, I wanted to invite you all to join me (for a little while at least). Because December 8th falls on a Sunday this year, the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception will be the following day. When this happens, it’s no longer a day of obligation, but I still thought it would be a nice break in our day. Fr. Paul will have the Mass and it should only take a half hour. If anyone would prefer not to attend, let me know, and I will make sure they have something to do in the office. Have a nice weekend!
Due:
Apologies for not putting this up here earlier (even though I announced it before Thanksgiving)
Due:
Because you had a retreat today, you get an extra class to complete the assignment! Please bring your signed-syllabus page to class on Friday the 13th
