St. Greg's Welcomes Mr. Daniel Drechsel, Dean of Students

For the past 15 years, Mr. Drechsel has worked at Gateway-Longview in various capacities in the organization. During his tenure at his previous employer, he has worked extensively in the Changing Attitudes and Behaviors (CAB) program, implemented behavior intervention plans for students, and tracked student data and created outcomes to assist teachers. Additionally, Mr. Drechsel has experience organizing and coordinating a Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) implementation, similar to the school’s newly adopted House system, in the classroom.

With Mr. Drechsels’ background at Gateway-Longview, he will focus on carrying out disciplinary procedures related to student behavior, tardiness, attendance, and dress code as established by school policy, overseeing our Technology Strategic Plan and implementation, and actively participating on the Emergency Response and Safety Teams to update safety plans annually with the team and principal.

On a personal note, Mr. Drechsel is married to his wife Jessie and they have two dogs - Jax and Jameson. Originally from Long Island, NY, he has made Buffalo his home. He is a graduate of Niagara University with a Bachelors of Arts in Social Studies Education grades 5-12 and a Masters Degree in Special Education grades 7-12. In his free time, Mr. Drechsel loves reading, playing hockey and spending time with family and friends.

Mr. Drechsel will be supervised by Interim Principal Mr. Ted Luckett, and his office will be located in the middle school wing at St. Greg’s. As always, we assure you our focus remains on creating disciples of Christ and we need everyone’s support to continue this work.
