Andrijevic Family Selected as Recipient of Grant

PRESS RELEASE: St. Greg’s Family Receives Grant from the Foundation of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Buffalo

WILLIAMSVILLE, NY - St. Gregory the Great School is pleased to announce that the Andrijevic Family has been selected as the recipients of the Upon This Rock Elementary School Tuition Assistance Grant Fund of the Foundation of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Buffalo in the amount of $4,000. The Foundation seeks to reduce the cost barrier of a Catholic education by providing tuition assistance to families that seek a Catholic education and who actively participate in their faith. This award is a testament to the family's profound faith and dedicated attendance at St. Gregory the Great Parish.

Ivan and Amanda Andrijevic, along with their children Gabriel, Ilija, and Luka, embody the essence of a faith-filled family that embraces their Catholic faith and values. Their unwavering commitment to their faith, as well as their regular participation in parish and school activities, has made a significant impact on our community.

The Foundation of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Buffalo is dedicated to ensuring that a Catholic education remains accessible to all families who share our faith. Through the Upon This Rock Elementary School Tuition Assistance Grant Fund, St. Greg’s is honored to support families who, like the Andrijevics, value a faith-based education but may encounter financial constraints.

The Foundation of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Buffalo has played a crucial role in making Catholic education attainable for families, helping to foster an environment where faith and academics flourish together. Their support has had a profound impact on our community.

Additionally, Fr. Leon Biernat, Pastor at St. Greg’s, elaborated, “It is our belief that a Catholic education should be available to all families that desire one. The Foundation of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Buffalo serves an important purpose in WNY by working with schools and parishes to identify the families that will benefit most from tuition assistance so that we can continue to educate and instill faith in our students.”

Fr. Dan Ulmer, School Chaplain, added, “We are blessed to have the Andrijevic Family in our school, and we are grateful to the Foundation for assisting us in providing a solid Catholic education for this wonderful family.”

Ted Luckett, Principal of St. Gregory the Great School, shared his thoughts on the Andrijevic Family's recognition, stating, "We are delighted that the Andrijevic Family is a part of our school and parish community. Their steadfast faith and involvement at St. Greg’s set a remarkable example for our students. We are grateful to the Foundation of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Buffalo for making this assistance possible, as it allows us to offer a faith-focused education to even more families."

Mrs. Andrijevic expressed her heartfelt gratitude for the Tuition Assistance Grant Fund award, saying, "We are deeply touched and thankful for this incredible opportunity to provide our children with a Catholic education. This blessing wouldn't be possible without the support we have received from the Foundation of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Buffalo and St. Gregory the Great."

In partnership with the parish community, St. Gregory the Great School dedicates itself in  providing a quality academic foundation; the formation of faith through knowledge and understanding of the church; providing a spirit of welcome, compassion and reconciliation; and encouraging the generous development and sharing of our God-given talents.
