St. Gregory the Great School Board

The St. Gregory the Great School Board is made up of dedicated parish, school, and community members who share a special commitment to advancing the mission of our school: forming disciples of Christ.

The board’s purpose is to support and promote the mission of our Catholic school, working to educate and guide students toward “the fullness of the Christian life.” In keeping with the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church, the board helps ensure that St. Gregory the Great School fulfills its call to form each child for their ultimate purpose and for the common good.

In partnership with school leadership, the Board supports excellence in both academics and faith formation, while also helping to ensure the school’s long-term financial health. We work within the policies of the Diocese of Buffalo and the State of New York to provide a strong, faith-filled education for every student.

To fulfill its mission, the board provides policy direction in five key areas:

  • Financial Oversight
  • Catholic Identity
  • Development
  • Enrollment
  • Principal Evaluation

While the board plays an important advisory role, it does not address administrative decisions, personnel matters, curriculum development or student-specific issues such as behavior or discipline.
