World Kindness Day

As part of our commitment to nurturing not just the academic and spiritual growth, but also the essential values that shape our children, we're delighted to celebrate World Kindness Day. This is a day dedicated to acknowledging and celebrating the immeasurable impact of kindness in our lives and the world.

At our School Mass Fr. Leon spoke about kindness in his homily, and shared this message with students and we invite you to watch it as well.

As we celebrate World Kindness Day, we encourage you to take a moment to emphasize the importance of kindness within your households. Small acts of kindness within the family have a profound impact on children's emotional and social development. Whether it's a kind word, a shared moment of understanding, or a gesture of support, these actions contribute significantly to the nurturing environment our children experience.

Here are some of the ways we celebrate and recognize kindness at St. Greg's.
Report an act of kindness! Students have been asked to share the kindness they have seen today and all this week.
Students are invited to add a leaf onto our gratitude tree for the things they are thankful for in their lives.
How are you going to catch kindness today?
At St. Gregory the Great School, we understand the pivotal role that kindness plays in shaping not only the educational journey of our students but also their character development. It's a core value we strive to instill in our school environment and one that we encourage to be embraced within our students' homes.

Kindness is not just a gesture; it's a fundamental aspect of creating a supportive, inclusive, and empathetic community. It's about understanding, compassion, and fostering an environment where every child feels valued and supported. The significance of kindness within the family unit is immeasurable—it serves as the cornerstone for the development of well-rounded, compassionate individuals. Below are materials that have been shared in our homerooms as we embark on teaching and spreading kindness:

We believe that a collaborative effort between our school and your homes can create an environment where kindness flourishes and becomes an inherent part of our children's lives.
