PRESS RELEASE: St. Gregory the Great School Opens New Inclusive Play Space
WILLIAMSVILLE, NY – St. Gregory the Great School is proud to announce the opening of its brand-new play space, designed as a welcoming outdoor environment where students of all ages and abilities can learn, grow, and thrive through play.
The new playspace, made possible through the generosity of the Blair Family, beloved members of St. Greg’s community, will offer students opportunities for basketball, pickleball, and foursquare. This play space was thoughtfully designed to ensure every child, regardless of age, grade, or ability, has a place to enjoy.
“At St. Greg’s, we believe that play is an essential part of learning,” said Mrs. Molly White, Principal. “Our students now have a play space that allows everyone to participate in a fun, outdoor area. It reflects our school’s commitment to fostering not only academic excellence, but also joy, belonging, and inclusion.”
The play space is more than just an area for recess. It is a place for students to practice teamwork, build friendships, and develop confidence in a safe and supportive environment. From younger children discovering imaginative play to older students competing in friendly individual and team sports, the design ensures everyone has a way to participate.
